It's been forever since I've visited Typepad and this blog. Why? Three reasons:
- I've been leading our strategic planning process and that, along with my marketing director and firm management duties, has been all-consuming
- I'm inherently lazy and grow weary of listening to myself
- Others do a much better job of more regular postings with actionable information
So, why am I back to this? One big reason:
- I'm not currently seeing anyone address PSF marketing professionals in a manner that helps them in these turbulent times
I had planned to shut this puppy down at the end of 2007 yet that's when we were putting the finishing touches on the firm's strategic plan as well as tending to year-end stuff, so the blog lives.
Truth be told, another very important reason I'm back is that I met far too many wonderful professionals who I respect through this vehicle. It would be short-sighted to stop now.
I know I won't post as frequently as I would like yet I will do my best to post information that is useful and actionable. I realize that I'll be talking to myself for a while until readers (who aren't my family or close friends) find me again. That's okay. I'm only asking for a teeny bit of internet real estate. See you soon.
YIPPEE!! Welcome back, Barb. Your voice has definitely been missed!! You say you "grow weary of listening to yourself," but believe me, those of us out here in the blogosphere have missed your wisdom mightily. Best of luck with your challenging deadlines -- and thanks for deciding to remain an important "contributor to the conversation" on PSF Marketing. You ROCK.
